Aston House offers al the the benefits of a small school. Most of the staff are very caring and highly capable - with the small staff/pupil ratio this means that children receive a great level of support. Children who are keen on sport will find that they also receive strong support.
The downside? I find that one or two of the staff don't focus on the pupils as individuals, sometimes not spotting when they are struggling - this goes against the general ethos of Aston House and anyway in a fee paying school is unacceptable.

Excellent independent primary school with small class sizes offering more focused instruction. This school offers a good balance of academic and general achievements. Some schools concentrate on academic achievement at the 11+ exams at the expense of other important learning outcomes. A good variety of clubs are available from Music, Drama, Gardening, Chess, Fencing, etc.
Children leave this school as well-rounded individuals able to work in a team and independently. The most valuable attributes that a child has gained when leaving the school are: confidence, achievement and ambition.

Very warm and welcoming environment; teachers are generally very nice and the kids really love it there. Small class sizes; high academic standards; as teachers give so much attention to students; overall well balanced approach to learning. Would recommend the school to other parents.
