A very good school let down by bulling amongst pupils and by some staff. Complaints are met with "we have no bullying in this school" and arrogance from the Chairman of Governors who has no concept as to how ordinary people lead their lives. He and his predecessor adopt a wholly unsympathetic and "take it or leave it" attitude. Criticism of any kind is regarded as bad form and is ignored.
Cronyism and nepotism are rife. Social class is of paramount importance. Parental questions about dubious school expenditure not accepted.
Be prepared to toe the line and keep quiet otherwise you will not fit in.
Current Headmaster however is extremely charming and helpful and does his very best to run the school despite having his authority minimised by a remote Governing Body.

An excellent school which brings out the best in its pupils. Excellent ethos. Superb facilities and quality teaching. Pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and enjoy a great deal of success.
