Our daughter has moved from a state grammar school 300 miles away to Sedbergh for 6th form. It has provided a wonderful warm, caring and challenging environment in which she has been encouraged to tackle a huge range of studies and activities. In just a term and a half she has gained so much we can not speak too highly of the school.

Quite simply the happiest, most testing and stimulating environment in the world where any young man would be privileged to grow up in.

My son joined the school as a yr9 from a state school and is about to take his GCSEs. From no hope of any passes at his previous school he is now predicted very good passes. His prime motivation was the top class rugby played at the school but has matured into self belief of academic success too. The unique living environment within a small town far from big town distractions works extremely well. You need to love rugby, hills and Cumbrian weather to make it.
