Our son is has 60% hearing loss and is registered disabled. His deafness lead to massive frustrations at mainstream school.
The school could not cope with him and made it clear that he would not be welcome back the following term.
We were at our wits end and didn't know where to turn. We then heard of the Fen School and their unique teaching environment.
That was four years ago and our son has matured into a responsible teenager working hard for qualifications for a career.
We owe the Headteacher Mrs Dunkley and her dedicated team a huge debt of gratitude for their patience and hard work in turning our son round and giving him an education when others had given up.
The Fen School work because it combines a 'home from home' environment with 'Old School' values on discipline and the 'Three Rs'.
I cannot recommend the school highly enough if any parent is having issues with their child at mainstream school.

A small school headed by a conscientious and enthusiastic Head Teacher Mrs Juliette Dunkley supported by well qualified and excellent teachers providing almost one to one education for a variety of ages and abilities. The children attain a quality education as well as self awareness, an ability to manage their feelings, motivation and good social skills. I highly recommend you consider this school with old fashioned values for your child.
